Can you find me in this photo?  I am sitting in the crowd with a few hundred of my friends at the beginning of the 2016 FIRST® Tech Challenge Pennsylvania State Championship.  I am an action/sports photographer based in Pittsburgh, PA.  Yes, robotics is a competitive sport.  I specialize in capturing the event history of FIRST® Tech Challenge robotics workshops, scrimmages, tournaments, and championship events including the excitement, determination, and focus of team members and event volunteers.  Thank you, Steve H., for the photo.

FIRST is way more than building robots.  Following a sports model, FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) teams design, build, program, and operate robots of their own design to play a floor game in an alliance format. Guided by adult Coaches and Mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and sharing ideas.  Visit www.firstinspires.org for more information.
